At LeBeauty Studio, we believe beauty should be about more than how you look and feel. It should also be about the impact we leave behind.
 
As a hair and beauty destination in Mandurah, Western Australia, we recognise that our industry can create a significant amount of waste. From hair clippings and foils to plastics, packaging and disposable materials, we believe it is important to take responsibility for the resources we use and make more conscious choices wherever possible.
 
That’s why we’re proud to be part of Sustainable Salons, helping us take practical steps towards a more sustainable future.
Our goal is simple: to continue delivering the luxury treatments and expert services you love while being more mindful of our environmental footprint.
 
WHAT IS SUSTAINABLE SALONS?
Sustainable Salons is a resource recovery program created specifically for the hair and beauty industry. It helps participating salons divert eligible waste from landfill by collecting materials for recycling, reuse and repurposing.
 
Through the program, materials that may otherwise be thrown away can be given a second life. Depending on the material and available recovery options, this can include:
- Hair clippings: Hair can be repurposed into hair booms designed to help absorb oil spills.
- Foils and metals: Recoverable metals can be recycled rather than sent straight to landfill.
- Plastics and packaging: Eligible plastics can be processed for recycling or repurposing.
- Ponytails: Suitable donated hair can help support the creation of wigs for people experiencing medical hair loss.
 
The program also supports community initiatives, with proceeds from the sale of recycled materials donated to food rescue organisations OzHarvest and KiwiHarvest.
 
It’s a reminder that what we once considered waste can have value beyond the salon.

YOUR APPOINTMENT MAKES A DIFFERENCE
Every visit to LeBeauty Studio is an opportunity to support more responsible salon practices.
Our $3 sustainability surcharge per appointment contributes towards the costs associated with our Sustainable Salons membership and our commitment to more sustainable salon practices.
 
The surcharge is applied once per appointment, regardless of how many treatments you have booked. It is a standard, non-optional charge included in your appointment total.
 
We understand that transparency matters, so we want you to know exactly why this small contribution is included. It helps us participate in a program designed to recover resources, reduce salon waste and support positive community outcomes.
